Scottish Golf is encouraging clubs across the country to register their interest in the 2019 GolfSixes League.

The GolfSixes League, run in partnership with the Golf Foundation, is a fast, fun, new team format designed to give young beginner golfers, both boys and girls, an opportunity to play in inter-club competitions. The purpose of the league is to help retain and develop young golfers through more on course play using a simple scoring system. For more details click here

Scottish Golf is excited to launch the Young Person’s Golf Panel. Working with young people (both golfers and non-golfers), the role of the panel will be to provide valuable insights and a better understanding of young people and society today.

As part of our commitment to growing the game, it is vitally important we engage and listen to young people and offer a platform that enables them to voice their opinions.

We want young people to be part of shaping the future of golf in Scotland, and are looking for candidates to help us support clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of an exciting time for Scottish Golf, and for the panel to work with the Governing Body for their personal development, life skills and employability skills as Scottish Golf support them fully on their Leadership journey. The GGU Club Handicap Trophy was played at Sandyhills Golf Club on Sunday 14th October. A total of 8 clubs took part in the competition. View the winners photos here

Scottish Golf’s membership has voted in favour of a resolution to increase the per capita fee at a General Meeting held at the Stirling Court Hotel tonight.

The resolution was passed with a majority vote of 60.2%. The increase from £11.25 to £14.50 will take effect from January 2019 and will be frozen until the collection of subscriptions in January 2022.
