The GGU Stephen Machin Senior Stableford was held at Haggs Castle Golf Club on Wednesday 13th September 2023.
It was a fairly dry day with some sunny intervals, and golfing conditions were good.
A field of 97 players contested the new Stableford Trophy which was dedicated in memory of our late President Stephen Machin.
Entry was restricted to competitiors aged 55 years and over, who are members of a golf club affiliated to the Glasgow Golf Union.
The competition was played in 3 equal age classes based on age on the day of the event.
Congratulations to Ian Ferguson of Haggs Castle who is the new Senior Stableford Champion for 2023 with a score of 41 points.
The age group winners were -
- 55-61yrs - David Bowers of Griers Golf Club
- 62-66yrs - AI McDougall of Ralston Golf Club
- 67yrs and above - Stewart Reilly of Haggs Castle
