The 2023 season has been hugely positive for our Junior Golf programmes, with continued growth in year 3 of the National Junior Framework.
A record 158 clubs are now engaging in 1 or more initiatives marking a 6% increase from 2022.
In 2023 the reach for our programmes has continued to grow, whilst overall participation has seen a 36.7% increase, with unique paticipants showing a 25% increase.

Vic Skelton has been elected President of the Glasgow Golf Union. He accepted the role at the AGM which was held at Glasgow Golf Club last evening 30th October.
Also elected as Vice-President was Andy Quinn.
They will serve for a period of 2 years. Congratulations to both on their new positions, and we wish them every success as they continue to move the Union forward.

Many congratulations to Glasgow Golf Club, winners of this year's Inter Cities Cup. The match took place on Sunday 15th October at Douglas Park in Bearsden. Glasgow, winners of this year's Boundary Bell faced Craigielaw Golf Club who were the winners of this year's Edinburgh Golf League
With both clubs not having won this competition, a new name was guaranteed on the trophy.
Following a A/S result in game 1, Glasgow quickly took control and after game 4 had a commanding lead of 3.5-0.5
The remaining 5 games games yielded another 3 points making the final score 6.5 - 2.5 in Glasgow's favour.
So ended the winning streak of the Edinburgh clubs over the last few years, and the Cup is finally back in Glasgow.

Congratulations to Glasgow Golf Club who are the double winners of the Boundary Bell Championships 2023. This year the BB is celebrating 25 years having first started in 1998.
The club won both the Boundary Bell and the Wee Boundary Bell in the matches at Cowglen GC on Sunday 27th August. The senior team made it three successive wins in a row when they defeated Fereneze GC by 5.5-2.5 with Angus Watson chipping in at the 18th hole in his game to clinch the match.
Meanwhile the junior team ran out winners in their match against Williamwood GC to take their first Wee Boundary Bell title.

GB&I Team has been announced for the 49th Walker Cup.
10 Golfers have been selected for the Great Britain and Ireland team to compete against the USA in the 49th Walker Cup match.
The biennial encounter is taking place over the Old Course, marking 110 years since it was first played at the home of golf. GB&I is bidding to win the famous trophy for the first time since the 2015 win at Royal Lytham & St Annes.
